Make plans now to join us August.  You must be a member of either CMS or NAMA to attend, so be sure to pay your CMS dues!

The fee for the foray (everything except room & board) is $150.00, and room and board at the YMCA Snow Mountain Ranch ranges from $124.50 per person for all three days if there are six in a room, to $297 for one in a room. All rooms can sleep six. All the details and information about camping and motels in the area are on our registration site.

PRE-FORAY WORKSHOP

"Field Mycology: Collecting and Documenting Specimens for Scientific Study" by Michael Kuo

All day Thursday, August 12. The fee is $50.00 per person and it is limited to 20 registrants. There will be details and sign-up here.

"Amateur mycologists are in a unique position to help contemporary mycology, which is in desperate need of mushroom specimens. Contemporary DNA studies are providing fantastic insights in mycology, and these studies depend on relatively recent, well documented collections. Dr. Kuo will lead a foray that focuses on collection for scientific study, and a session on documentation (including specimen description and documentary photography) and preservation of specimens."
