  associated fungi\, with an emphasis on ectoparasites and cordyceps-like f
 ungi. \n\nWho: Alisha Quandt\nDr. Quandt’s research seeks to understand
  the evolution of fungal host and ecological transitions. She received her
  B.S. in Biological Sciences from the University of South Carolina\, and h
 er Ph.D. at Oregon State University from the Botany and Plant Pathology De
 partment. After completing a postdoctoral fellowship at the University of 
 Michigan\, she began her own lab in 2018 studying all aspects of fungal bi
 ology in the Ecology and Evolutionary Biology department at the University
