DESCRIPTION:The intermediate class will include the above\, plus current F
 amily &amp\; Generic concepts in mushroom taxonomy\, differentiating impor
 tant Colorado species\, habitat-specific importance\, poisonous and edible
  mushrooms in our area\, introduction to micro-chemical tests.\n\nClassroo
 m session 1: July 31\n\nField session: See your confirmation email to sign
 up for a foray date! You will be able to select one of August 17\, 18\, 24
 \, or 25. \n\nClassroom session 2: August 7\n\nThis class is NOT intended
  for beginning students.  You MUST have some knowledge of mushroom identi
 fication\, and be able to recognize on sight at least the following specie
 s of mushrooms: Amanita muscaria\, Boletus edulis\, Cantharellus cibarius 
 (or related)\, Coprinus comatus\, Morchella species(to genus only).  PLE
 ASE DO NOT REGISTER INTO THIS CLASS IF YOU ARE A BEGINNER\n\nThe instructo
 r\n\nJon Sommer has been a member of CMS since 1993\, is the immediate Pas
 t-President and is President-elect. Jon received degrees in Botany &amp\; 
 Plant Pathology (mycology) from Humboldt State University and The Universi
 ty of California\, Davis. He has taught mushroom classes and given talks a
 nd lectures in mycological topics around the country since 1970’s.\n\nFo
