DESCRIPTION:The fungi that feed plants - Understanding the fungal community
  supporting the mycoheterotrophic wintergreens\nJess is a student at UC De
 nver and the Denver Botanic Gardens\, graduating with a Masters in Biology
  this coming fall. Jess first started working with fungi in plant patholog
 y labs during her undergraduate career. She is continuing to research plan
 t-fungal relationships (now where fungi aren’t the bad guys)\, focusing 
 on the fungal diversity associated with mycoheterotrophic plants.\n\nThis 
 presentation will be an introduction to mycoheterotrophy and what we curre
 ntly understand about this fascinating plant-fungal relationship\, as well
  as preliminary results from Jess’s masters thesis.\n\nMeeting Schedule:
