Colorado Mycological Society kicks off 2020 with Dr. Garneau’s “Sensory 101: Up Your Flavor IQ”

From scientists and consumers alike, the world of fungi is an intriguing and popular world of flavor. This interactive presentation will bring insight into the science of the flavors of the fungi world. You’ll walk away equipped with knowledge about how preference derives from survival and the nuances of how each of our senses contributes to what our brain calls “flavor”.

Named one of the top 5 most influential young professionals in Colorado, Dr. Nicole Garneau is a scientist and keynote speaker who brings science to the table. Her training in genetics and microbiology led her to the Denver Museum of Nature & Science where she served from 2009-2019 as the Curator of Human Health and led the Genetics of Taste Lab.
