 ps is a Professor of Mycology at Montana State University and a leading ex
 pert in alpine and arctic fungi. Her research focuses on fungal ecology in
  extreme environments\, including ectomycorrhizal relationships\, alpine b
 iodiversity\, climate impacts on fungal communities\, and whitebark pine r
 estoration.\nHer work has helped advance understanding of how fungi suppor
 t plant life in harsh mountain ecosystems \, and she is also widely known 
 for her field-based education and contributions to Rocky Mountain mushroom
  identification resources.\nHer book will be available for purchase at the
  meeting.\nMEETING TOPIC:\nThis presentation will explore alpine and high-
 elevation fungi—species that thrive above treeline in extreme environmen
