Forays are organized, ticketed outings for CMS members. (Tickets may be obtained via the CMS web site. There is no cost attached to a ticket, but you must be a CMS member in order to get one.) Participants meet a designated location and carpool to the foray site. A Foray leader and assistants provide instruction on appropriate methods of collecting, after which the participants fan out in small groups to search for specimens. At an appointed time, they reconvene and the leaders provide further instruction in correct procedures for identification. Forays usually last about 4-5 hours including travel time. Be sure to check back at this page before the scheduled foray. The latest changes of time and meeting location of forays will be posted here.
