Speaker Bio

Alisha Quandt

Dr. Quandt’s research seeks to understand the evolution of fungal host and ecological transitions. She received her B.S. in Biological Sciences from the University of South Carolina, and her Ph.D. at Oregon State University from the Botany and Plant Pathology Department. After completing a postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Michigan, she began her own lab in 2018 studying all aspects of fungal biology in the Ecology and Evolutionary Biology department at the University of Colorado Boulder

Presentation

Through two very different ecosystems, the Antarctic and Agricultural fields, we will examine the diversity, distribution, and interactions of fungi and bacteria in soils.
