The term “winter mushrooms” sounds like an oxymoron to most people and for the most part, they are correct. But if you’re “in the know” this is not always the case. One needs to manage expectations in that this tends to be more of a looking exercise than finding exercise at this time of year. Information gained: priceless. But with this said, finding any mushrooms this time of year is an epiphany!
