Classroom session 2: August 7 This class is NOT intended for beginning students. You MUST have some knowledge of mushroom identification, and be able to recognize on sight at least the following species of mushrooms: Amanita muscaria, Boletus edulis, Cantharellus cibarius (or related), Coprinus comatus, Morchella species(to genus only). PLEASE DO NOT REGISTER INTO THIS CLASS IF YOU ARE A BEGINNER The instructor Jon Sommer has been a member of CMS since 1993, is the immediate Past-President and is President-elect. Jon received degrees in Botany & Plant Pathology (mycology) from Humboldt State University and The University of California, Davis. He has taught mushroom classes and given talks and lectures in mycological topics around the country since 1970’s.
